During our topic this Half term we learnt about different house and homes. We looked at the different materials that were used to build them and explored the different types of houses including detached, semi-detached and terrace. We walked around Toddington to spot how many different types of houses we could see.

Our class also visited the library and were very lucky to have a story read by the local librarian.
Whilst learning about Special places in RE this half term we were able to visit our local St Georges Church and look at the special parts of the church that had special meaning, including the beautiful stain glassed windows.

To end our topic, we were able to Visit the Higgins Museum and explore the different things found in old houses and homes from the past. We were also able to learn about how people washed their clothes in the olden days.  Our class really enjoyed having a go at washing the clothes!

Puffins Spring 2 Island adventures

This half term we have done lots of exciting things!
We had a taster Judo session where we got to roll like Pancakes and Pizzas with Jessica and learn how to dodge each other on the mats.
Puffins had a fantastic world book day welcoming Princesses, Harry Potters, tigers and even a few dragons.
After reading Katie Morag and the Baking Day Secret we made our very own Porridges. As part of our Design and Technology we made boxes to place them in so we could take them home and enjoy with our families.
