The Academy Trust
The duties and functions of Governors are defined in the instrument and articles of government for schools.

The process for Governor elections is set out in the Academy articles of association and agreed between the Academy Trust and the Secretary of State. The Governing Body meet once each term and a copy of the agenda and minutes of the their meetings are available by request, for parents to read.
An Academy Trust is a registered charitable company responsible for the running of the academy and has control over the land and other assets. It has a strategic role in running the academy, but delegates management of the school to the governors.
Our 2015 / 16 strategy day was held on 10th October 2015 at Steppingley Village Hall. In this workshop we evaluate the medium to long term strategy for the school. Governance is about more than just attending formal meetings!
Our 2015 / 16 objectives are to review and develop action plans for the following priorities:
PE grant funding and impact
* SEND - Special Educational Needs and Disability
