This year for our Remembrance Day celebration we built our own cenotaph and every child in the school laid a poppy to create a column of poppies down the centre of the hall.

Keech Cottage
Claire from Keech Cottage visited the children and PTA of Toddington St. George Church of England School on the 5th November to thank them for the £23,572.24 they had raised for Keech Cottage over previous years. This year the children had added £238.00 to their contributions and have lots of ideas for how to donate more.
Toddington St. Georges is well known for its strong commitment to inclusion so supporting Keech Cottage is a natural extension of the School’s commitment to every child.
Bramingham Bear visited to congratulate the children and present this year’s certificate for fund raising. TSG children
Shoe Box Appeal
In October Mrs Curtis came to the school to tell us about this year’s shoe box appeal. She explained that not all children in the world are as lucky as us in St Georges and some will not be receiving Christmas presents this year but we could help by filling a shoe box with small gifts such as pencils, note paper, small toys and sweets. This year our shoe boxes will be sent to Belarus to help the poor children in that country. By the 15th November we had filled 100 boxes which were picked up by Mrs Curtis and transferred to the shipping depot.
Children in Need
This year the theme for Children In Need was supper heroes and our children dressed up as their favourite super hero character. Later we were luckily to have Pudsey Bear visit the school. The following week we found out that we had raised £530.50 for Children In Need by selling poppies and contributing £1 for dressing up as super heroes.
